Ever wonder when and how to Tweet across time zones? It’s not an uncommon concern, but if you’re somewhat new to social media and Twitter in particular, it’s important to do the following:
Now matter what time zone: It’s key to recognize when your specific audience is most likely in front of a Twitter feed. If you’re targeting hair stylists, though they may have a Twitter app, during normal business hours, they’re most likely busy. Web designers, developers, and others who use a computer are probably on during those same times we’re suggesting you avoid. Understand your audience first, then determine how to target them in different zones.
As far as zones go, you’ll want to alter your Twitter content (your text and characters), but you’ll want to use a scheduling app to then target those opportune times in other time zones.
Don’t forget, people will engage with you on different times than you’re used to, so as soon as you’re back on, make sure you respond.
